Jair

Language Instructor

My name is Jair, and I’m the founder of Toani Sala de Idiomas and Spanish for Baja Residents. I’m originally from Monterrey and I’ve lived in Cabo for 14 years. I have always been interested in learning new languages and meeting new people. I started learning English when I was about 12, then started learning Italian at the age of 15. Náhuatl (spoken by the Aztecs back in the day, and the second most spoken language in Mexico after Spanish nowadays) was the third language on my list to learn. I studied languages at The State University of Baja California Sur, UABCS, and graduated from Lenguas Modernas. I majored in Spanish, English, and French. I started developing Spanish classes to help foreign residents living in Cabo communicate with locals. That was back in 2012. I’m currently working on improving a pronunciation system that is effective and easily learned by the Baja foreign residents community and visitors passing through Cabo interested in learning our language. I also teach Náhuatl at UABCS and continue learning and contributing as much as I can to promote living native languages of Mexico.

Emanuel

Language Instructor

My name is Emanuel, I was born in Los Cabos but my family comes from another state of Mexico, Puebla. I have been keen on languages since my childhood while watching American movies in English with my dad. However, it wasn’t until I turned 15 that I enrolled in my first English course shaping the future of my upcoming career. A few years later, I did a major in Foreign Languages Teaching (Spanish, English and French) at The State University of Baja California Sur (UABCS). During that time, I met Jair as my Spanish as a Foreign Language teacher and I learned about his methods and teaching techniques to focus on pronunciation and sentence formation. Ever since, I have witnessed to yield significant results on all of our students learning Spanish using the Toani method. I have been working at Toani Sala de Idiomas with Jair and the rest of the team, teaching conversation and pronunciation and creating learning materials to help out the foreign residents community of Los Cabos to speak Spanish as a native.
