Group classes
You are first interviewed so that we learn more about your language background and learning goals. We’ll make a learning plan for you. We’ll go over a possible class schedule and answer your questions. You can decide to join right away or later on whenever you’re ready.
Each class you meet with a teacher to practice live and participate in guided activities. There is some homework to complete between classes and over the weekends, like audio exercises, worksheets and video lessons to watch. Each week we’ll tell you how much to complete inside the program on our website.
Each course is about 3 months, except for Level 2, which takes about six weeks to complete. Most of our students complete Levels 1 to 3 in about 8 to 9 months, when studying with a group (5 to 8 students per class). There is a lot of speaking, listening and guided practice along the way. Classes typically meet twice a week for one hour on Zoom. If you miss a class, we can record the Zoom session and send it to you to watch later, along with assigned homework and notes. Group classes with a teacher are paid separately, in addition to your Toani Membership subscription fee. Every student must have an active Membership to join a class with a teacher. Group classes are $2,250 MXN pesos a month per student.

We usually have group classes already going on studying and practicing at higher levels. These classes are not always listed on the calendar on our website, so feel free to schedule the interview to find out if we have any available options for you right now.

Group class policies
Group classes follow a shared schedule. Because the class continues when one student is absent, missed sessions are not rescheduled, refunded or saved as credit.
- A 30-day notice is required if you decide to discontinue your group class.
- Missed classes are not refundable and cannot be credited toward another month.
- Holidays are not rescheduled.
- Months with five classes or fewer are charged at $350 MXN per class instead of the regular monthly tuition.
- Your Membership must remain active while you are enrolled in the group.
